In preparation for our trip we went on a hike today to put some trail under our boots. We ventured off to a place I’d researched and had good reviews called the Walls of Jericho. It’s right on the Alabama- Tennessee border. It’s a really primitive natural area and recently opened to the public.

It started fine and the trail was marked and easy to navigate. The trails we’re deserted of human life which made for a quiet hike. Without prior humans spider webs spanning the trail were abundant and they all ended up in our faces.
Halfway through our hike we took a side trip to the Mill Creek Blow Hole. It ended up being a cave with a water source.
The second half is where the trail was elusive and we ended up trailblazing to make it
back to the parking lot. We survived and Devin made 3 or 4 new tick friends.
Wow! That cave looks so cool!
Devin – very hospitable. That’s one bug I’ve never been friends with! LOL
