I didn’t get a chance to post yesterday because the internet was down at our AirBnB. We picked up our rental car in Zagreb around noon. Since we were returning it at the same location the rental car agent gave us a brand new Mercedes wagon/hatchback.
Land navigation
Our AirBnB host had given us Lat/Long coordinates and I plugged them into our car’s GPS. I did this incorrectly because we were soon approaching the Slovenia border. Our train experience had soured us on Slovenian hospitality so I fixed my mistake.
As we neared our destination our polite GPS woman asked us to leave the road and drive off of the cliff. We politely declined but we were now lost and had no other directions. After driving around for an hour Devin checked the iPad and there was a cached Google maps that aided us finding the place. Our car GPS had gotten us close just not close enough.
Cats, dogs, and wine
Our host greeted us as we arrived and showed us all sorts of hints/tips about getting into the Plitvička park and the surrounding area. We picked up some wine and made friends on the terrace.
