Among the hoodoos

We had an amazing night viewing the stars at Kodachrome state park.  Unfortunately, we don’t possess the camera equipment to take cool pictures of it. We departed Kodachrome and stopped for breakfast at a local diner before arriving back at Bryce Canyon.

We started our hike into the canyon at sunrise point and did the Queen’s Garden loop and the Navajo loop.  There is quite a bit of descent to get down into the canyon and we knew we would get this payback on the way back up.

The hike was a wonderful way to experience the hoodoos up close, but I thought seeing them from above was a better experience. Then there was the way back up…

Surviving the ascent, we headed back to our car and headed to our next destination, Moab, UT.  Along the way we stopped at the Capitol Reef National Park and Goblin Valley State Park.
